I'd be tempted to use large pop rivets or rivnuts - avoids the messing about with disassembly |

I must be missing something here , what good is it really going to be to retrofit it , all i can see is that it will slow the drop down of the lower tailgate

It really improves the quality feel when opening the tailgate, which on a pre MY2010 FF feels a bit flimsy.

The pre MY2010 tailgate is not the cars strongest point, which is probably why LR improved it.

Can confirm on my MY11.5 I press the rubber button and the tailgate pops down itself, bang-free. No additional guidance needed. |
