Faults after removing front struts

Hi All, finally managed to get to the bottom of my leaking airbags
but after repairing it I think I damaged the ABS sensor so ordered a cheapy one off Amazon as it was the quickest I could get but I'm still getting the error codes intermittently saying ABS fault, dynamic suspension faul, airbag fault etc. I've tried calibrating the steering angle sensor but it's come back up. Is there a way to test if the sensor I bought is faulty?

Probably the wrong sensor, ime.

Probe the resistance of the opposite side sensor and compare, both should be exactly the same to rule it out.

You don't say how you repaired the airbag leak, or whether it was front or rear.

But, assuming it's the front - if you took the strut off, have you damaged the adaptive damper wiring or not connected it back securely?

Could also be a height sensor issue causing those faults. Look for a loose connector / damaged height sensor.

Same issues would affect if it's the rear, TBH.

Do you have any diagnostic tool you could attach to narrow the issue down?

It was a front airbag leak, repaired it using a seal kit from AliExpress as the seals must of been damaged from the airbags being previously replaced.

Scanned it with my GAP IID and got the following codes...

Any replacement airbags should have come with replacement seals as part of the kit but maybe the previous owner reused the old ones? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

New bags and seals were fitted but one of them must of gotten pinched during installation and was leaking air out

Nearly all of those faults come back to the front right wheel speed sensor, as I see it (driver's side).

Apart from all the minor faults with central locking, etc. Oh, and the EGT sensor 'A' circuit high - pretty standard on these and many people just live with that one as it's a pain to get to the sensor.

This is what I'd do: Clear the faults, take the car for a short drive and log (or view in real-time) live data from all 4 wheel speed sensors. That'll show up any issue, as the speeds should all show the same unless you're manoeuvring or cornering, of course.

Points to note:
1) Make sure, you've got the same size tyres fitted to all wheels!
2) Be careful, I've had diag kit point out a wheel sensor in the past, and it was the one on the opposite side to that being reported!
3) If you've changed the wheel speed sensor, it's odd this fault persists, so make sure all connections are firmly clicked together.

Let us know how you get on!
