The market won’t collapse if that’s what’s meant by the bottom dropping out. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I'm watching the market very closely as I'm still in 2 minds about moving my 2011 L322 on.
Current "gut" is to wait until mid 2024 to see how 1) prices work out and 2) how finance deals pan out.
I see LR are now doing 5.9% on new vehicles. Porsche at 11%! Lots of variation Rolling Eyes Rolling with laughter Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Honestly, I would not want to be selling anything right now as it's all doom and gloom out there. wait for spring if you can and relook then. overfinch modified

Agreed. Sitting tight but observing closely. Market is too jittery.
LR have dropped their APR% to clearly attempt to sell some over priced box Rolling with laughter

If you install this as a plug in on Google Chrome you can see when a car was listed and what it's been reduced by! Some of the L405's have sat around and been reduced quite a bit!

These are the first two I looked at:

It makes browsing AutoTrader much more interesting!

Quite eye opening seeing how long some cars have been sitting in dealer forecourts for!

There is an iPhone/iPad app for it too but they charge £19.99 for it.

Could be the ideal time to buy though. The big question is, how much more have they got to fall.

But it's not just RR that's dropped, everything big/premium is falling hard atm.

From reading on various Facebook groups, the biggest problem with the cars at the moment is insuring them. I've not looked at any insurance quotes though so can't comment first hand but some people depending on location are quoting telephone numbers to insure L405's.

Edit - My insurance renews on 16th April, to swap the insurance from my XFR from now until 16th April, based on a 2017 SDV8 Autobiography would only add £112 so it's not horrendously different for me 20 miles west of Glasgow. Strangely, to add a 2017 RRS SVR adds £102 to my policy! Laughing

It's a good little tool this, shows one of two things, either over inflated costs to start with or massive depreciation occuring, some L460 SV have lost nearly 20% in less than 6 weeks!!! Shocked

My experience. I was looking for a while for a 2011/12 Westminster. Don’t know why, just like them. 🤷‍♂️ however, after searching for ages (prices seemed around £12-15k), my wife said she didn’t like that shape 😫

So then I started looking at L405 prices and was surprised at how low they were - my neighbour had one (2013 MY) a couple of years ago, when they were £25-30k!!

I have just now put a deposit on a 2013 VSE 86k miles, for £19k. Although I did find that the p/ex for my X5 was very low - they offered me £3k!! I can probably get £4-6k so will sell it myself. The dealer told me ulez is killing them.

I also have a friend in the trade and he said sales of RR’s often fall through at his place because buyers discover they can’t insure them.

This year manufacturers have to sell 20% EV’s? It will be interesting to see how that affects the market too.
