I understand what your saying re tyres Jaygee but it can't just be down to tyres on 3 different cars.

I had 3 different sets on one of the RRs, Scorpions, Goodyear Eagles and then General Grabber AT3.

There was barely any difference in how that one drove on each different set.

This l405 is running Scorpion Verdes all round, all less than 2 years old and all with 7mm tread.

Just went to the start of the thread and you are still on 21" wheels with 45 profile tyres? Maybe worth seeing if you can borrow a set of 20"? I can tell mine get harsher with just 10% higher than stock tyre pressures and I can imagine a lower profile tyre would be harsher still. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

If I knew someone to borrow a set off then I would try them.

I certainly wouldn't buy a set and I say this because I did the opposite on my last l322.

I changed up from 20 inch to 21 inch wheels and there was very little appreciable change.

Probably at the sidewall difference between the 2 tyre sizes is about 3mm.

This has got to be some sort of electrical fault that effects all 3 systems.

Maybe something I'm doing when I get the cars for it to have effected 3.

is your tyre pressure set at light or heavy load..

i set mine to heavy and it was distinctively more heavier on the steering.. ... - .- -.

Currently set at just below light load on the front 33psi and 33psi on the rear.

I'm only just coping at these pressures.

If I use factory 34F/37R it's untolerable

I suggest dropping the pressures to 25psi all round and going for a very gentle and short drive to see what it feels like. IME sidewall compliance is the main suspension component responsible for dealing with low speed road imperfections. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Does a voltage drop to 9 volts when cranking seem okay/normal?

That's interesting then... thanks so much for the comparison Haylands. Thumbs Up

Both the main battery and auxiliary battery are brand new though.

I replaced them as the start stop wasn't working.

Reading a review of the L460 and this is what they have to say about the L405.

Wish I had the car they are referencing:

“The L405 rides better than anything this side of a rolls Royce” Big Cry Big Cry
That really is wishful thinking
The trades description act would tear that comment to bits Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!
