whos fitted an aftermarket satnav

has anyone on here fitted one of these

if so i have a couple of things to ask
first off on the original plug there are two connectors at the bottom that don't appear to do anything when connected to the new system is this for the cd multi changer if so i take it that it will not work with the new system...

second question does the multi changer have a standard aux lead that i can connect to the new unit

also if anyone is after one of these units i managed to get mine for £325 and that includes the map software ....unlike the ones sold by ?uk that want £525 and yoou then have to pay £40 for the map software "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

I was asking if it was an HSE because of the Sat Nav, Steering wheel controls are different etc.

i thought the steering wheel controls are the same other than the fact vogue's and above have the heated steering wheel,
these aftermarket units are only any good if you have a hse "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

Did you keep the MID for the BC functions?
RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr,
P38, and 2 L322s
(wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too)

pretty much plug and play porky i did a bit more triming of the plastic than powerfull say to do as i still wanted it to sit back further ...the mid wiring loom is plenty long enough you just have to undo it a bit from the origional stereo/mid loom....getting the multichanger out is the worst job as a lot needs to be unbolted

heres a pic for you of the finished install[/img] "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

Pretlove it looks a great fit am very impressed with that looks much better than mid I have could you PM the full details off where you bought it, prices, model number etc and additional photos during fitting if you have any.
Any advice and help would be great so I can do an exact coPy of yours.
Could you plug iPhone or iPod in to that unit aswell?
Cheers Paul Thumbs Up Range rover hse
