Personally I would leave it well alone Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

You could start by removing the access panel shown 1 in the picture. This allows access to the motor and drive shaft

Back in the olden days there used to be a manual override using an Allen key or similar.

Just a thought, it’s possible the sunroof need’s initialised for some reason.

Mine opens and tilts. I was worried at first as to whether I should try it or not given the mileage approx164000 but I thought it and hey presto no issues whatsoever. Have faith 2016 4.4 diesel |

I used silica grease, it must be ok as my sunroof still works. |

Read the above post and couldn't help thinking................whilst your at it, you could also put some lube on the roof rails at the same time
