Its come round to fixing the sunroof. It has never worked since I bought it.

Checked fuse and its OK. Cannot say I hear anything when I press the switch but then they are not the noisest motors.

Checked site and all topics seem about stuck open or sticky. Im sure others have had to deal with this so surprised its not a topic What doesn't kill you is just bidding it's time.

Agreed, better stuck shut than stuck open, just trying to remember the last time we've had ours open, no can't remember tbh

me being anal and want everything working What doesn't kill you is just bidding it's time.

You could start by removing the access panel shown 1 in the picture. This allows access to the motor and drive shaft
I would try spraying everything with wd 40 and see if anything happens.

Back in the olden days there used to be a manual override using an Allen key or similar.

Not sure if you can still do that… at least give you a feel for if it’s jammed up or not.

Or you may find the switch disconnected…. And then have to see why…..

My sunroof is nearly always open… even at night sometimes…..

Just a thought, it’s possible the sunroof need’s initialised for some reason.

Never opened mine - never will. Best left alone IMO….. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Mine opens and tilts. I was worried at first as to whether I should try it or not given the mileage approx164000 but I thought it and hey presto no issues whatsoever. Have faith  2016 4.4 diesel

I used silica grease, it must be ok as my sunroof still works.

I’m thinking I may give mine a dab of lubricant this weekend 2016 4.4 diesel

Read the above post and couldn't help thinking................whilst your at it, you could also put some lube on the roof rails at the same time
