Do you have the info for carrying out the hardwired method? I'm soon to go home on leave and want carry out the fitting of paddle shifts.

Hi Baben,

On the plug and play side do you have to do any modifications to the wiring of the plugs themselves or do you simply plug them in and enable with faultmate?

Car is a 2010 autobiography

You have to make sure that you buy the paddles complete with the 4-pin cable that plugs into the RHS switch pack, then all you do is enable the paddles under "gear selector steering wheel mounted" in "miscellaneous and unused" with the faultmate.
If you can't get the dealer to supply the cable, just get one from a computer hardware supplier. If you go this route, note there is a key on the receptacle on the paddle and on the switch pack. The cable is not one-to-one, it is reversed.

That's what you need although in the UK they are actually cheaper from the dealer! Shocked You then need to enable the paddle shift feature using a faultmate or similar as stated in Baben's comments higher up the page!

when me and matt came up with this upgrade it was meant for the early l322 but will work on any model apart from the 2010 as they were made with them in mind, if you have the the up and down shift on your gear stick as you will it will work, V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

I just took my car to my dealer to check out the possibility of fitting paddles to my 2010 car. They said that it is no problem to enable the ccf and fit the paddles. The only issue is that there is no cabling from the steering. They said that they can create a harness, but it will require 3h of labour to create and fit. So looks like it is not just a plug and play. What have I missed?

Funny, but my car is the latest version pre the STD fit paddles so according to Baben it's just a plug and play. So arguably I have not missed 10 pages just a bit of wiring. Laughing

I think that maybe it's your dealer that needs to read a few pages Confused

According to Baben a 2010MY doesn't need any additional wiring, just plug the 4 pin cable from the paddles onto the spare socket on the steering wheel and enable CFF. Thumbs Up

I must admit I didn't think the dealers were capable of changing the CCF but maybe on a 2010MY that has now changed Very Happy

Has anyone on here done this to the facelift 2007 MY yet then?. If the steering wheel has the paddles fitted already, a 2010 MY wheel, does this overcome the slip ring issue?.

Hi Guys,

Fitted paddles today to MY10 car, but they are not working? I plugged the cables into the socket and power going to them since they are illuminated. Enabled paddles via Faultmate. Any ideas?
