But then you’d be doing the mileage in a cheap runaround…. Sort of defeats the object of having a nice comfortable car. Had it been something rare, I’d have agreed but I couldn’t think of another car I’d rather do the miles in.

At m-way speeds the engine is only slightly above idle speed so it will run for ever as a long distance mile muncher. Short urban trips will be much more life limiting on a DPF diesel. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Likely me just over-worrying! Thank you all, considering the mileage I think I'll go for 6 monthly oil changes now. |

I think you are better off with a car that has covered the correct mileage or higher? then with a car that has low milage city work only?
