Hi guys any help would be appreciated got this really annoying knocking noise only present when going over speed bumps or uneven surface.

Best way to find out which suspension parts are worn / loose - Find an MOT station with a shaker plate, bung them a few quid to get underneath it and have a look, they will probably find the reason fairly quickly.

If the noise can be definitely confirmed to be at the front or rear, tell the mechanic this to help him zero in on the fault. The above drop links could well be the cause.

what's a shaker plate?

Driver the car onto a plate and it rocks the car side to side so the tester can check for any excess movement on bushes, suspension etc

If no shaker plate is available then a good MOT tester will be able to use lever bars to find the wonky part, won't take him long.

If one drop link has worn, the other will not be far behind, changing both is best, bars always come with bushes as far as I know. While you are at it, try to move the anti roll bar, if there is any movement by hand, then you probably need those bushes as well.
