I took the grille and unit off yesterday, turns out 1 of the 4 drain holes has lost its rubber bung bit

Anyway i very very carefully rinsed it out using a thimble of water at a time and then left it in the airing cupboard over night and seems fine so far

need to see if i can order one from Dan then see about tieing them all together and sticking a one way valve on each unit to stop anyway water getting in and hopefully make it a vacum inside, IE as the unit heats up and forces air out, when it hits water and cools the unit will try to suck air back in and the valve will close even harder and thus prevent water getting in

Be a warning to all those who have waded or dare wade to headlight level or above, the holes are open and the pipes dont really help much, bit of a poo design but i can see why it was done, £££

Is there a helpline for FF owners because I cannot stop driving about in mine for no other reason than I am in love with it.

Sad I know but I have had it over a month now and get the shakes if don't get my daily fix. Most days I have to take it out two or three times LOL.

How long does this go on for? 03 4.4 V8 petrol / lpg. 1st of many hopefully. I love my Rangie

6am start from Epping. Quick run up to Coventry APART FROM THE ENDLESS Roadworks on the M1 and the 50mph speed limit.£5 for a coffee and cake at Services . Then on to Birmingham Solihull , Bordsley Green to pick up 4 wheels , then on to Smethwick to pick up a RIM then on to Redditch to look at another car . A Run down the M40 made up for the slow M1 . (Obviously only at up to 70)javascript:emoticon(''). Top up with Petrol at javascript:emoticon('')London Colney M25 . Then onto Epping High St Chip Shop . All by 13:10 javascript:emoticon('')

Now I have to unload the car and rebuild the parcel shelf !! Regards

After a two week layup (on economy drive after Christmas!) took the FFRR on a run to the south coast with the "one and only", abandoning kids to their GSCE revision (still not sure if they did any!). Reason for trip (suppose I had to have one) was to fix some roofing felt to our beach hut which had been blown off in recent storms. However the wind was blowing about a force 6 so was fun trying to hang on the hut whilst holding felt and nailing. Glad I took wife as ladder blew down whilst I was up on the roof (15 ft drop)!

FFRR was just a pleasure, didn't miss a beat, much quieter than I remember, so comfortable, and king of the road. So know exactly what you are talking about daz62.

Would be feeling the same if I hadn't had a two week holiday from it. .

Mine spent the day ferrying us to the swimming baths, about the shopping centres and grabbing some packing for my PC sales (carboard box's and packing are not as cheap as i recall )

Well, I drove from Cincinnati to St. Louis

About 350 miles so +/- 6 hours. Got here feeling as good as I did when I left this morning.

I have to admit, I step out of the FF feeling better after a lengthy journey than I do after an equivalent trip in my Bentley or either of my Rollers. Cheers,

After collecting mine on Saturday and spending the rest of that day cleaning it, then Sunday doing some more (GB sticker removed without trace), I finally used it properly for the first time on my way to work this morning.

Nice and dark, so the interior was lit up nicely. And blow me, did it feel special!!

My iPod was playing, the V8 burbled, the lights were pleasingly effective and that 14 mile journey just melted away. And it felt too short.

Our E55 hungrily devours this mix of A and B roads with a muted whoosh and a few angry roars. But the FFRR was entirely different in a way that I've never really experienced from a car before.

And I can now see so clearly why there's nothing else like these beautiful beasts to drive or to deliver this experience. A dealer referred these as 'a four-wheel-drive Bentley', and that's about the best comparison I can make (though I've never owned a Bentley).

It sits in the work car park taking up an entire space (these FFRR's are bigger than they look) and I just want to see it now and make sure it's OK. Si. <This is my name.
