United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover HSE Td6 Zermatt Silver

Went to the Heritage Motor Museum at Gaydon.
Had a good look round the museum, then went on the Off Road Course. Went around the course in a Discovery 4, it had all the mod cons, the course is excellent and really shows the capabilities of the traction aids fitted Very Happy

had a breakdown!
I had changed the water pump a couple of weeks ago, and had been driving about 150 miles on various occasions, when today, with all the family in, the lower thin pump hose to the three way connector at the lower part of the rad, 'popped off' (2002 vCool After working on the water pump, I had reconnected it, but not snugged in home properly, and the clip was not 'in the groove' so nothing stopping it under pressure. toaday, whilst driving, I got a 'bong' slowed down, and saw a small puff of steam, pulled over. allowed to cool and managed get hold of it, and then managed to ping the clip with a sharp key, and replace. I had no tools! bought some water locally and was running ok. LUCKY! home now, next job, check and drain again and refill with coolant mix.

Just replaced the headlight lens on my passenger side light, after having a stone smack a hole in it. Had to temporarily seal it with silicone, but got the new lens and replaced it today. I've taken some photos and will put together a 'How-to', if anyone's interested.

Took the passenger door card off and lubed every single moving part of the door catch mechanism I could find. Hopefully that will stop the passenger from having to pull so hard on either handle to open.

BTW after years of stripping Disco 1 doors to fix locks, handles and regulators, I was amazed at the difference in quality in the parts and the way it's put together. You wouldn't believe it's from the same factory. Probably isn't

Finally got the screen to come alive. All functions bar the sat nav work... It just needed a tv tuner.

Only down side is that I now have a MK4 sat nav unit on its way to me that I don't need Sad
