cleaning Satnav screen

Has anyone got any good tips for removing fingerprint marks from the satnav screen Question
They were there when I bought the car and me thinking that they had forgot to clean the screen but I've tried a damp cloth (as per the handbook) but they won't come off Evil or Very Mad

or could it be a replacement screen that is needed as it really looks like the screen has been well used Question

I have the same problem I was told to use only the anti magnetic cloth that came with the screen no matter how I keep cleaning it the usual fingerprints marks are always there Censored , not sure if it's down to the dual view screen as I never had this problem on my old SC Rolling Eyes

I don't have the luxury of the dual view screen, but mine looks like it has been well used and for a car that is only just over 12 months old and only having been a "managers" car at the local dealer I'm slightly miffed to say the least Evil or Very Mad

I'll be contacting the dealer to get it replaced under warranty.

I use this sort of thing for the 'soft' screens. http://www.maplin.co.uk/lcd-plasma-screen-cleaning-kit-454483

I've used baby wipes on my earlier non-touchscreen.

Cleaned all the marks off with no damage, but could obviously be a different finish to later cars..... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Have only used a damp cloth so far, don't want to use anything else at the moment until the dealer has had a look and advised on it.

Thanks for the replies though Thumbs Up

It' as if the finger prints are "burnished" onto the screen and won't come off.
Waiting to hear back from the dealer before I try other substances on it.

now this may sound funny but when my mate use to deal in pc flat screens he would use Vaseline to tidy up the screens, when rubbed in it would hide small marks and blemishes, do not try to clean in one spot or you will take of the anti glare coating and it will be stuffed. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Baby wipes, optical wipes or good old fashioned glasses cloth .....

It's a screen. It's not a particularly vulnerable thing, so as long as you are not using sandpaper - don't worry. Never noticed any difference between my pre-2010 dual view or the dual view. Simply wiped down the screen with baby wipes when they needed it.... Land Rover Addict
