I think you're on the right track -- have a look at each of those U04XXXX codes on good old google, it should lead somewhere, a lot of the other stuff just looks normal to me Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Stan! the car doesn't start!

OK -- a quick search on FFRR forums led me to someone with a similar issue -- that manifested in the end as a non starting issue

It was the crankshaft position sensor

Can you read the live values when attempting to start -- do you see the CSPS values change?

Suggest also, before clearing the faults, look at each one for the date they occurred (not the date you read them). Would guess that most are quite old, the majority being the sort that have absolutely no impact on operation or performance, and will re-occur again and again. The more recent ones will indicate where the problem may lie.

However Terrain Response issues shouldn't necessarily stop the car from starting, could it be fuel delivery related (not so many sensors to help you there) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Thanks everyone for your help much appreciated

I will double check the output from crank and cam shaft sensor tomorrow and let you have results

Fuel system is 100% perfect that has been all checked out

The fact that the system says it's a information issue makes me think it could be any thing and I googled the sh&t out of the codes looking and testing that's why I put it out there Range Rover

If the last code involves the immobiliser wouldn't that be a prime suspect? Previously a 2008MY Tonga Green Vogue SE 3.6 TDV8

I was sold that B1B01-87 (2C) Key transponder is a common fault code and not to worry about it ( You can't reprogram key with IID tool with out starting the engine so a bit chicken and egg

Also checked crank sensor and it,s fine.

Well it's proving to be little annoying Rolling with laughter Range Rover

Hmmm. Good point. Mine's a diesel so not so familiar with these gremlins. I'm moving to Bicester soon and am there quite often now. I could pop in. Two heads might be better than one? Previously a 2008MY Tonga Green Vogue SE 3.6 TDV8

It is a 3,6 diesel like yours

I'm a mechanic buy trade and as such work on a fair number of land rovers but this is my own and I of-course a complete nightmare. This car has a story and I have never heard it run, purchased it from a mate with turbos gone and low compression 2 cylinders. I am anally retentive about doing things write so every thing on this engine is 100% now

Never had a vehicle I couldn't fix and this will turn out to be something stupid Rolling with laughter

Tomorrow I'll learn s bit more

I'm about 5 miles out of Bicester but always happy to make you a tea or coffee and put the world back in order Range Rover

Ok found problem

I installed the crankshaft pickup ring with a tdv6 2.7 after being told by company who make them that the v8 tool is the same. My fault should have checked it my self, new tool tool and ring ordered from land rover Deep Joy

Looking forward to seeing company rep next time he drops in Rolling with laughter I think the conversation will be interesting Evil or Very Mad Range Rover
