So i have just took a pic of the control box,

i will have a look.

got more of the engine now, supercharger is off, and so is the manifolds that bolts onto it...

next is the exhaust manifolds to come off then while im under the car i will look at getting the old gas pipe out as well.

so almost finished the strip down.




just got to lock the crank and then gedt the chains off and then the heads.

but does any one know if i can skim the heads??? If In Doubt Give It A Clout

Also i have been looking at the manaual from the wiki for the AJV8,

im trying to find the Crankshaft Position sensor......

does any one know where it is located?

L322 Workshop manual 2007 to 2010 Pages 888 -889 I think its item 13, looks like its on left side
(viewed from front) below air filter box.

Are you going to get the valve seats checker out while they are off I highly recommend it if it’s had gas Current stable:

it had the system in there but no tank in the boot, so i dont know if it was every hooked up?

where would i find the valve seat checker?

I know what you mean but they can also go on petrol too just not as quickly. I know a place in leads an Cambridge you just need an engine workshop to check it over the kind of place that can skim heads etc id imagine. Current stable:

i still dont know if these heads can be skimmed?

im hoping that they are alright to be honest and i can just straight re-build with ned gaskets

Btw have you got the heads off yet? Though of an obvious way to check the valves need doing... just look at the valve clearance when you take the rocker covers off - if they are not right then get them done Current stable:

Almost got them off but havent quite got all the chains off yet.

i also need to find a technical listing for re-setting the timing on the rebuild.
