Yup, nozzle in and offload so to speak, not the full can as it's quite big. I opened the tailgating halfway, just before it goes up by itself, then covered the garage floor with some cardboard to catch the drips, it's a good idea to do it when you don't plan to use the car for the rest of the day, when you close the tailgating, more will come out! I've just had two very small bubbles appearing just to the left of the plastic edge trim at the bottom, nothing has appeared since, unless I use a borescope, no idea if it's working! |

gave mine a bit of rust treatment and bought a chrome trim that fist over repaired bit . a bit of superglue and wala no rust looks good and cost buttons . |

What are the chances of getting the upper tail gate changed under the 6 year corrosion warranty? Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

It just seems funny that over forty years have passed by and they still haven't sorted this out! Every FF I've owned has had this and in this day and age you don't expect rust of a car a few years old. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Had mine done by Car Clinic in Scarborough 3 years ago - first thing I did when I got it back was inject Waxoyl inside the frame. 3 years later and I have very very small bubbling of corrosion on the lower edge but to be fair they did not work on that part. Only issue I have is on top under the glass where they slid the rubber weather strip back on before the paint hardened and as a consequence has developed unsightly rust on the left-hand side. I really need to remove the strip and get it sorted but cannot locate a decent body shop. Bearing in mind every repaint of the upper tailgate incurs an extra cost of new badges - roughly £60 last time ! |

Stu, if you get it to the Dealer to inspect then press them you can get it changed with little hassle. I've had 2 done by LR for just a bit of blistering under the lip.

Haha, exactly what I thought of doing on the 07 we bought today, not going to tackle the rust permanently just yet but going to drown it in ACF-50 (brilliant stuff) then fit a chrome or maybe black as the car is black over the seam, after all it is a FFRR it can get away with a bit of bling hopefully? David Please let me know if my comments upset you, I may wish to upset you again. |

Just done mine and the arches. The rust bubbles made it look worse than it actually was. Cleaned it back to good metal and found no pin holes or cracks at all. The seam sealer acted as a water trap and it spread from there. All looks good now. The arches were just the usual stone chip damage.

Yes a very valid point, I was going to lather on a load of one of the rust āconverter/killersā first to hopefully slow the spread as much as possible and then inject the ACF50, when we get around to fixing it permanently I think itāll need so much work to really get it right for the future all the temporary stuff will be removed completely, I hope! David
