alarm reset L 322

Hi
i found my battery flat, had to open door mechanically,as remote key wouldn't unlock doors neither disable car alarm.
i tried an emergency start using auxiliary battery, car alarm went off ,but before i could start the engine, all electrical supply went off.
the ignition cylinder is blocked , key gets in and out but can't turn to ignition.

please advise what i should do
- reset the car alarm , and how it should be done ?
-try to load the battery ?

thank you

First things to try:

Disconnect battery and leave disconnected for @ 1 hour at least

If you want to touch the two terminal connectors together (helps to clear ECU's ?)

Charge the battery (or replace if dead)

Once these things done, reconnect and see what you have.... .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

I've done the same...dead battery.opened door with key and alarm sounds but you can't turn key in ignition...as above charging battery and retry! I found the key not turning was simply because there was no power...once batterys charged it car gets a jump start it should turn ..

thank you for your help.
is it absolutely necessary to disconnect the battery, or
is it possible to load the battery without disconnecting it from the car (3 months ago i could recharge the battery without disconnecting it, using a smart battery charger )
thank you

You can charge the battery connected to the car BUT the point of taking off both connectors and touching them together, as described above, is to reset the system. John
