Been using rain water to wash cars for years. Nice and soft, doesn't leave white spots all over the car. |

We have a 9,000 litre rainwater tank behind the house but the Karcher pressure washer doesn't seem to like the low pressure from the tank - so I've given up trying to use it. Ron B. VK2OTC

This could be a very simple case - have you bleed the air from the hose ( simply running water to the Karcher before you turn it on ) - ours is a high output units. I can only think - just ensure the pipe is lower than the tap output ( the tank we have is mounted about 3 feet off the ground ) with the amount of water in the tank - there's quite of bit of pressure with the water volume pushing down ). It will work - just re check everything - good luck . |

I rarely use a hose to clean my car these days. I clean my cars with chemical guys quick detailer and two microfibre towels. It takes me 15-20 min including wheels. ______________________________

If you really think you have saved 2 buckets I don't think it has saved you much money. Must be talking less than £1. You still have to pay drainage fee's. If you want to save money, get a lighter car! But seriously, I would fit the filter. Don't want to knacker your pressure washer all for saving a few pence. |

I'll try it. The outlet on our tank is at ground level but a full tank has a head of nearly 2.4 metres (8 ft). Ron B. VK2OTC 2003 L322 V8 Auto 2007 Yamaha XJR1300 Previous: 1983, 1986 RRC; 1995, 1996 P38A; 1995 Disco1; 1984 V8 County 110; Series IIA |

Hi philbathurst I thought BIG and put in a massive Tea Strainer as this - looks impressive and so far works very well I ve placed it in the top near to the inlet inside the tank about 2 inches from the max position, secured in place by alloy sleeves so it cant move ( but you can lift it out ) - watched it in action with very heavy rain and water only went half way up the strainer - so it kept up with the flow. Its easy to lift out and clean any debris if required - didn't want a little filter as it would get blocked ( rangie is big so is the filter ) again hope this helps with ideas you may have. best wishes . |

Sometimes AndyK - you have to think outside the box There are some less fortunate than us and money is tight - so on this web site we all try to help each other - thats the whole purpose - Save money and do things over selves ! and one other thing - the jet wash is around £1000 - and having crap in the lines will knacker it in some form or another - Period. That was all . |
