I'm just trying to switch my old fob covers with the shiny new ones I bought from Dan. (Cheers Dan!) But I can't work out how to remove the sprung bit on the short end to put inside the new case. Does anyone have any idea? I'm sure it can't be as simple as just forcing it off - can it? |

Doesn't look like you get the end cap with it. It was a job I was hoping to do myself rather than send keys off. 2011 RR Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 |

It's fairly easy to do it yourself why pay someone a fortune to get it done.. as many of us have replaced it to the newer style one (I prefer the 2010 chunky on btw)

I bought a new style one from eBay , it was 35 stg and I paired it using the Iid tool. As others have said , it's a bit smaller compared to my original 2011 keys but i have it as a spare.

I don't mind paying for services, but I like to have a go myself where possible. When I had my x5 i stripped down an iphone cradle and charging cable so I could dock/charge and control an intravee unit I had installed. That was a pig of a job but worthwhile. 2011 RR Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 |
