Also, I took off the Stornoway handle covers and replaced with black ones. I've kept the grey ones in case I change my mind, also replaced the Stornoway side vent with a black one to match too.

These are the tyre I will be putting on the newly refurbed rims. Quite an aggressive AT pattern these, but also great in Winter too.

For the first time ever for me it was a private sale purchase, a guy advertised it on the D3 forum but wasn't a regular there. His location was near my office so I went to have a look, the history stacked up, loads of receipts and all the right stuff done at the right time, for example the D3 needs cambelts doing at 7 year old or 105K. Most people leave it till the 105k rolls past but that could be 5 years later than it was due!

The forum is always the nicest way to buy! I often think most of the bad ones will get fobbed of the the trade so private sales probably give the better chance of a good vehicle, even if the risk is higher. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

By the way Adam, the lightbar I was talking about earlier was Seabass, not Edfors (as Stan pointed out in another post). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Got the V5 through while I was away in Poland this week so have transferred my 'spare' private plate onto it.

The MTRs are a more aggressive mud terrain pattern than the Duratracs though, so should be noisier. Discovery 4 HSE
