Easiest way to install a second battery is the way that Dan did here

The second battery is exact the same as the main battery. In fact I did install the old one (replaced it and checked afterwards that it could keep voltage good when not connected). The battery is fitted in the rear right fender (where the tow bar used to be). A brief description of the work I did is found here:

I sometimes think this is what you need in an FFRR but with the batteries connected in parallel.
