When I got my FF the wipers clunked maddeningly as described. I fitted Bosch 808 nineteen months ago and they make no noise at all. Surprised that people are reporting noise. Wonder if it is down to adjustment of the arms rather than the blades?

Same here loud clunk when I bought it replaced with Bosch 808 blades and silence replaced again after a year again silence
never adjusted the arm only replaced the blades

The new ones will have to fit now!

Armed with an old bone handled flat bladed knife and a palette knife I took to the wiper fittings. Did as Miggit suggested and stopped the wipers at 12 o'clock, thus able to work on both from the drivers side, also dropped car to access height and used my little step stool. Placed an old mat on the windscreen to protect in the event of an arm slamming back on the screen (and it was needed!)

Decided to work on the drivers side wiper arm first, worked the knives in between the arm and the spigots on each side, then gave a sharp pull up and away from the wiper arm lengthwise. The fitting did already have a split in the casing, then came out in @ 5 pieces Laughing so the these new fangled wipers have got to fit now!

Same approach on the passenger side, a little easier with no aerofoil thingy in the way, but less to grab hold of to do the pull up and away! A little damage caused, with a split in the casing. As with most of the plastic on the FFRR it gets very brittle after 14 years.

Here is what came off

So, these new ones had better fit. As it happens, a good tight fit onto the arms. phew!

Reset the wipers and did a screen wash test, pretty good, reasonably quiet, and a good sweep.

Guess I need to buy another pair now for back up! .

Whistle I did say do the passenger side first, then park at 12 o'clock and do the drivers..... that way you already know how they are supposed to come out!

I think that mine came out in 3 bits too, so your not the only one Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

A drizzly morning so set off for work at normal. Started up the wipers with there new blades to be greeted by an eerie and uncanny silence as the aero blades swept back and forth. Not a sound or a squeak. I generally like to get some feedback from my mechanical devices so this was quite unnerving Laughing .

It was the not shaking themselves to pieces that I found most alarming, oh, and being able to see I don't think that there's any bit of the screen that they don't wipe perfectly......... Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Just fitted a pair of these blades, nice and easy with the how to, took no mre than 10 mins both sides. As others, super quiet and great wipe. In case anyone in Oz is on the lookout, I got the from Aliexpress, US$ 13.99 shipped for the pair so much cheaper than just one std blade. A no brainer if you need new wipers.

I've had mine on since the winter and have been really impressed, they're still very quiet, a massive improvement on the old Bosch 808 blades. I won't be going back to them. Discovery 4 HSE

Just fitted these http://go.hubnuts.uk/?id=106254X1563338&am...mp;xtz=-60
and really impressed.
Simplest fit - minutes/ seconds for both sides (and I am a renowned numpty Rolling Eyes )- and far superior to standard originals and Bosch 808s I replaced. JLR should fit this type as standard.
