Easy way of checking the Bong Of Doom is to put the key in the ignition and without turning it open the door, all merry Bongs should ensue, not just one, it fact more like a pink fit Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Tell me about it! There are times when you are in a hurry to get inside (mainly having been caught in traffic with the services in your rear view mirror ) and you pull up and throw the door open and go to turn off the car at the same time,

I don't get that when the key is in the ignition with the door open, which sounds like a blessing. Looks like I will have to get an iid tool and look at what the last owners have set things as.

I get the boing when going between hi and low ratio and had heard the boing plenty when the suspension compressor was playing up. Who knows it must be one of the joys of owning a range rover.

I think you might be on to something with the "bonger" being broke, as I had to use low ratio yesterday and no bong. Next question where is it ???
