Headlight warning buzzer

Hi, I'm trying to find out should my ffrr have a buzzer warning for when the lights are left on and the key is out of the ignition and the door is open ? Mine just has the message come up on the dash is this right ?
Thanks roger.

Easy way of checking the Bong Of Doom is to put the key in the ignition and without turning it open the door, all merry Bongs should ensue, not just one, it fact more like a pink fit Shocked Shocked Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

All off by default on mine .... which was a relief! I mean :

1. Lights are automatic - so they go off with key off.
2. The doors open and the key is in the ignition - I KNOW! Why not just stop me opening the door like you stop me taking the key out if I forget to move to PARK?
3. If I forget the above I need to be locked away Smile Land Rover Addict

Tell me about it! There are times when you are in a hurry to get inside (mainly having been caught in traffic with the services in your rear view mirror Shocked ) and you pull up and throw the door open and go to turn off the car at the same time, Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
And it's not like you wouldn't realise that something was a miss when you tried to lock the car, pressing your thumb and two fingers together don't quite work, you need the key in between Shocked Embarassed Laughing Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I don't get that when the key is in the ignition with the door open, which sounds like a blessing. Looks like I will have to get an iid tool and look at what the last owners have set things as.
Thanks for all the info Thumbs Up

I get the boing when going between hi and low ratio and had heard the boing plenty when the suspension compressor was playing up. Who knows it must be one of the joys of owning a range rover.
Thanks roger

I think you might be on to something with the "bonger" being broke, as I had to use low ratio yesterday and no bong. Next question where is it ???
Thanks roger
