Thanks for the info
After a lot of research on the web and speaking to a few locals. I finally came to the conclusion that I really needed full on winter tyres. I was trying to avoid this for various reasons but it seemed impossible.
So I ended up going with the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 in 275 55 20
Not done many miles in them but what I have done in -12 degrees and Icy and snowy conditions I'm VERY impressed. I have to cut away the plastic guard in the rear wheel arch but so be it.
First thoughts are the ride is much smoother. Even for studded tyres they're very quiet. General ride plus cornering and acceleration is very good also. I'll give a more in depth report over time. And get some pics uploaded
As an additional bonus. I've had an issue of having to reset my ignition when I wanted to change the ride height. Did a diagnostic and was told I needed to replace my compressor. Anyway as the dude was changing my wheels he heard air escaping from a small blue pipe behind my wheel hub (had to really reach in to see it) anyway there was a puncture in the pipe. He repaired that and hey presto suspension fault fixed..!!! Happy bunny
