Just purchased a 2012MY 4.4TDV8 & as they are newer than we usually see in the workshop for maintenance etc (as still under JLR warranties) what are current owners finding issues with other than the usual common niggles? All comments gratefully accepted please

No issues with mine at all, had the battery recall done and its been trouble free - even the FBH works without issue. There are several software updates for the reverse camera, the radio and AC fan system - all good though touch wood

Our 2012 is on it's 2nd alternator and has started clicking again now.

Low battery warning (two dealers failed to remedy), dead starter motor, injector-related hesitation (fixed), very, very occasional hanging on to second(?) gear, corrosion on side window and tailgate trim, foam block in door shut/inner-wing fell off.

Last week mine had 3 new door top surrounds, the black bits, and new tailgate struts due to corrosion a new temp sensor, new rear suspension dampers and a gearbox update all on warranty. This is the second 2 1/2 yr FF iv'e had that needed new dampers/ struts. And the car came back spotless. Result.

My Waranty ends in November. I'm not sure how to check what has been done on Recall oris possibly outstanding. How do I find out ?

As far as I know, nothing has been done.

Any advise welcomed of how to get everything done before the waranty ends.

The dealer will be more than happy to sort out anything and check for updates/recalls as they get paid direct for it, pop in and ask them to check the car over and see what needs doing, did it with a Lexus a few years back and they found loads to do.... Including a wheel refurb when they found a small bit of corrosion on the inside of one of them.... Pete

When i viewed the car (and before starting) it was saying power save mode (or words to that effect) but started 20mins later without hiccup... Is there a tell tale sign if the battery mod has been done?
