The advantage for me is having the ends pre-flared with the fittings also added. Plus the front to rears are only £15. The flexis in the other hand are £82 each!

I replaced the fronts with genuine pre-shaped last year and they were a biatch to route around the back of the engine!

The guy in the video is talking OOHA about the rear pipes route. He probably means tank cover as I previously said.

The front to rear pipe for the RHR should be one piece, and L shaped of @ 7ft long by 3ft. It will go in but you need the space below the car to get it there (and no side step brackets in the way) .

Britpart do rear flexis for £15 each, they are good quality and fit perfectly.. they also have no moving parts and that's my reasoning for going non genuine...

Any part that has to move or measure something then I go genuine... if it just sits there.... non genuine... there are always some exceptions... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Pete

Well I tackled mine today. I bought the front to rear pipes from Land Rover (£26 for the two) and 2x britpart flexis from Island 4x4 at £18 each

Surprised at how easy it was once all the covers were off. N/S front to rear was a doddle. I managed to get the O/S fitted without cutting the pipe. Took two of us to do it- one to guide and one to push/pull etc. The trick with the O/S pipe is to thread it down the chassis first, then pull back gently on the across chassis section of pipe, then feed it up and over the subframe.
Main dealer technician reckoned it was impossible without a ramp. That told him!
The existing ones were proper corroded. Given its done 133k in 15years they've done well I suppose.
Retest Monday then good to go!

Giant thread resurrection I know Andy, would you still have the part numbers for the brake pipes by any chance? Thanks Kev.

I might have. I was given a spare one which is in the loft still in the bag. Give me a couple of days to get up there and dig it out. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Thanks mate. I'm in Telford so I could come and collect it if you wanted to sell it.

I only have the one so you’d have to buy the other one. I’ll get it out and we can sort something out. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Both the pipes, for the rear left brake for the rear right brake, run down the left hand side of the car. There are no brake pipe runs on the right hand side .

As long as the flares and connectors match up.

I recently had to do this on my Volvo, passed MOT, no ill effects. .
