hid light flickering

i've fitted hid kit to the fog lights of 2007 FFRR; light looks good but the left one goes off by itself from time to time. this light also seems to be a bit bluer light than the other side

Wondering whether that could be due to a bad connection or could it be due to the failure of either the bulb or the ballast?

any suggestions as to which brand, e.g. phillips,i should use. would like to get hids4u's kit but time won't allow that as I'm going on a 4,000km trip next week and want to have the lights in before then.

btw phillips confirmed that theirs is not necessarily canbus compatible

"and get cree leds.."

@stan - will the advantage of using cree leds over hid kit include improved lightning up of the road, etc.

if you want maximum forward light projection then halogens are the best bet, you can get 'white' type bulbs that look very close to the 6000k leds/hids..

but you might want to consider something like mine which that chappy above [Craig] supplied..

they are very bright and i use them as drls rather than fogs,, ... - .- -.

lights not flickering anymore - solution: put a canceller on as the ballasts are not compatible with the Canbus system of the Range Rover

will see how it works on my 4500km trip next week
