Can anyone help with my above question? When fitting the 2010 lights and doing full front end conversion the headlamp interferes with the air duct from the air filter housing to the inner wing. I've had to temporarily remove it , how did you guys overcome this product?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. It isn't the actual filter, nonor the filter housing but instead the air intake ducting that the light fouls with. I'm just wondering if their is a different design air intake ducting available.?

There isn't a different design of duct, the duct and housing have to be removed and changed to a K&N filter

This is the type you need, I have this k & n fitter. A nice side effect of changing the filter is you get a big more of s gurrrrr from the engine under acceleration haha

Headlight Wiring & Bumper Support

Hey Matt, great write up!

I did the conversion as well, got everything down electrically except for one thing; I am trying to figure out how to manipulate the wiring so when my vehicle has it's DRL's turned on the Angel Eyes turn on.

Right now for DRL function the Angel Eyes don't turn on; rather I get a pesky yellow halogen bulb that comes on as my full time DRL. If I turn the Light Knob from the "Off" position to Park Light or Low Beam, the Angel Eyes come on, so any ideas?

Also I still haven't attached the bumper brackets properly (kind of doing without them) which leaves a slight gap between the bumper and the fender, so I am eager to be rid of this gap, in order to that should I have these plastic brackets some how welded on? Should I use your fiber glass idea (which I still don't have a clue as to how it works Laughing ), people have even suggested bolting on the bracket (don't know where the bolts would go but meh).

Any advice is greatly appreciated,

Thanks. Zambezi Silver Range Rover (2010 Autobiography Facelift)

Hi Rangie

You can't natively use the angel eyes as DRLs as they were never designed to function like that as standard and on your model of car the halogen lamp is what is used as the DRL. The only way I can see to enable them to function as DRL is to find an ignition live and wire that directly into the Angel eyes so they function all the time. I have toyed with this idea myself but haven't got round to doing it.

With regards to the wings you either use your existing wings and cut out the old bracket mounts with a grinder and fibreglass (mix an epoxy resin and paste it on to sheets of fibreglass) to secure the new brackets in place or you have to purchase the later style wings that already have the mounting holes for the 2010+ wing brackets and bolt them on.

Hope this helps

Hey thanks for the reply Matt, okay yeah I guess I'll try and find a live wire and might just end up purchasing 2006+ Zambezi Silver wings. Also I was looking around and folks were mentioning that we can use the faultmate tool to turn the DRL's on, not 100% sure if that applys to our situation but worth a gander.

I have a faultmate and u can enable DRLs however on range rovers of that time the DRLs use the halagons not the side lights.

You don't need to change the crash bar to fit the new bumper, you just have to replace the bracket that sits on top of the crash bar to the new type. The new fog lamps sit below the crash bar so there is no problems. Current

Hi all.Presently under facelift process of my 2004 to 2010 and wondering whether you can assist me to the following:
1.From old square headlights i have disconnected two connectors. The cables of the main/bigger one will be reconnected,as per drawing, with the new type connector.Wondering if the the second smaller connector will remain unconnected or what??
2.Re headlights washing system. When i took bumper off I saw that on armature are crossing 2 rubber hoses.Believe the one hose is routed to the other side headlight wiper's washing system.
The 2nd hose is for what?do i have to also remove it?

Your assistance will be most welcome

Many thanks
