I have been looking into purchasing a dash cam for a while now and came to the conclusion that the cheap ones don’t work well enough and on the other spectrum the expensive one are just too much a risk of theft if left in the car while parked unattended, you pays your money take your choice I know.

Good post welshdragon! Fitted mine (cheapo £15 plus £15 for 32Gb sd card) about 4 months ago in a very similar manner and found it useful many times for filming idiotic driving. See this clip I took last month -

I forgot to say that you can update the firmware to read in MPH, mine started off in KMH.

Agreed I too see too many 'locals' and tourist in the summer ( you can spot them a mile off here where I live ) driving as if the roads belong to just them!. If it dont work.......burn it!

Nice job Welshdragon, I had my 0801 fitted in early November. I went for the GPS version, but its only the mount that differentiates between GPS and Non GPS.

hi, reading above, and just looking at this on Amazon. is this one the one priced just under £30 roughly? or the £75 one? I don't need the gps type etc, just the camera, cheers. |

Nice one, I hadn't thought of fitting the cam that side, I tried the passenger side of the rear view mirror but because the curve of the screen the picture was more bias to the near side, hence its in the middle.

As Stan said John, mine was £58 non gps. If it dont work.......burn it!
