Confirmed one of the bmw key blanks work perfectly just snap the black plastic off the top and file it to fit the flip key holder then make a grove to tap the pin through, charged me £4 for the blank, there on eBay as well 6 to 9 quid

Is it possible to take the blade from the original key and get it to fit in to the new style flip key in case the key cutter f....s up the new blade when he cuts it? There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Any recommendations as too where I can get the new keys cut (all sync and locking unlocking ok). If it makes it easier I am happy to buy a couple of new blanks from whoever cuts it, either to use in the flip keys if they will easily fit or just to protect their income provided that they do a decent job and cut the blade properly so it works.

At last I've found a key cutter who is more than willing to cut my key, 5mins and £9 later a perfectly cut key works first and every time . Only trawled south wales and the south west for the last 5months(off and on). For anyone in the south west area the place is Apricot keysmiths, Frome, Somerset |

For making the 2010 key work, is this the correct procedure?

hi, get the key blade cut last, if there is a problem with the key they will not take it back if the blade is cut.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.
