TV and blue tooth upgrade

I just thought I would write a few words on here to say thanks to Wiggs. He sent me a BT unit but it had a fault. He replaced it without quibble. I also upgraded the TV to digital. Thanks to Wiggs I have saved a fortune and now have a very useful car for working in when on the road.

Cheers Wiggs!

Dave

Yeeeehar!

I'll double that!

Got my hands on a 2006 2.6 TDV8 earlier today. Had a replacement TV tuner and BT module ready to go that Adrian had sent me Friday (after I asked for it on Thursday). So having owned the thing for less than 2 hours I set about dismatling the AV setup in the boot. Not overly complicated but a messy time consumer. Been watching Dave and pulling contacts from the phone already!

So..... Adrian, legendary service mate! Saved me a packet and the awesome motor I bought is now even better. I'll send you the old BT module next week.

Thanks again!

Paul

Hi Guys,

Just fitted my Digital TV thanks to Paul (brumster) for selling me his spare hybrid tuner (I'll let Paul explain why he had a spare)

My cars fitted with RSE so I needed to strip out the entire infotainment system, but start to finish took just over an hour and its all working perfectly Smile

Very pleased with the picture quality and the number of channels.

Paul - you're a star Thumbs Up

I may have located another unit, as I went in search when wiggs announced that he had sold out, so if you're still looking for hybrid tuner, send me a PM and the first one in my inbox secures it (if it turns up and works).

Cheers

Justin

Thumbs Up Great news Justin! glad everything is working! A clean MOT and digital TV, could be time for a trip to the bookies?

To cut a long story short I bought an 2006/56 SE with RSE a couple of weeks ago. A week before I picked 'her' up I had a few discussions with the previous owner whilst I was waiting for him to transfer private plates off the car and for the HPI check to clear. During these conversations I was told that there was no DVB receiver in the car. My first mission whilst waiting like a small child waiting for xmas was to sort out a tuner upgrade! I found this thread, with it Adrian (thanks) and received a tuner the week before collection. No less than 2 hours after receiving it I had the infotainment system to bits and plumbed in the new tuner, result!

So...... a couple of days later I went to put the old tuner on FleaBay and noticed the word 'Hybrid' on the side of it Shocked

So, had I turned the bloody thing on I'd have saved myself a whole load of grief! Although I'm quite happy I did the swap out now as I know a massive amount more about the whole system than I did before! Most importantly that 2006 face lift SE's come with DVB Rolling with laughter

There you go, one spare tuner and a much happier wallet! Cheers Justin, you helped me out as much as I you!

Result!

Paul

P.S. Great forum here at FullFatRR! Helped me out massively in the last couple of weeks and no doubt in the future!
