United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Atacama Sand

Just bought brand new TDV8 with digital TV - works very nice.

Downside - as an upgrade that will be £70k Sir! Rolling Eyes Currently running FFRR MY10 TDV8 3.6L and a Disco 3 XS Commercial (tank like but very effective as a Company van). Plus one mint condition Track Day Car in the form of an E36 M3 3.2L Evolution circa June 1996 with lots of go faster bits and only 52k miles on the clock! Oh, plus a few bits to make it slow down really quickly as well! Luvverly.

i have done the digital upgrade on my car, its very good, i live in london and think the power is ment to be 85% i can pick up all channels with my standard aerials, but you dont get digital radio, you dont get the option for uk gold or any channels that would need subscription, they can be very hard to get hold off.
now you can use a digital receiver like the vibe, it means an other remote but you will get all the radio as well. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

I've wondered about this too.

Is it just the hybrid tuner that you need?

Something like this?

Video Module (TV module) part numbers are of the form 65 50 x xxx xxx.
These units can be installed in I-bus cars such as the ange rover upto 05 preface lift e38, e39, e46, x5, x3, z4 but NOT I-drive cars such as e65/66, e63/64, e60/61 and e90/91.
The part numbers start with the most recent I have found at the top of the list and the list is broken into 5 sections. I have seen many of these units on ebay and the remaining ones are from the BMW ETK disks.

Section 1 contains the hybrid analog/digital units.

9 118 577
9 112 837
9 126 252
6 126 251
6 988 906
6 908 079

6 966 696
6 966 615 Also used in retrofit kits.

Section 2 and remaining numbers are for analog units.

6 945 298 Also used in retrofit kits.

United Arab Emirates 2009 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zambezi Silver

Hi
I am interested in upgrading my analogue tv to hybrid and want to be able to view on the go. I have an 06 facelifted touch screen TD6. Is the BMW module listed above the right one? If so can it be made to work on the move?

also is it possible to add a DVD player to my car? I do not have rear screens just the dash one.

Thanks in advance

You can buy a special cable to enable picture on the move, sadly for the touch screen systems its about £180.

There is a thread somewhere detailing who it's from. Do a search. Thumbs Up Discovery 4 HSE

hi, sorry chaps.... ok the part numbers in the other post are for upto an 05 pre touch screen i-bus system, you need to look at your TV module, the digital tuner were fitter up to 07 on the bmw's and them changed to the ally cased one, this will have optic fibre and will not work on the pre touch screen from late 06/07 they fitted the new type tuner and this should be digital..if you have the pre touch screen then you will be looking for a tuner that is identical to the one in the tin box, not the ally box. but it will have hybrid digital on it or follow the part number in the list. now there are a few after market kits on the market like the one in micks post,expensive..
with the bmw unit its a straight swap,no recoding no trips to the dealers and you get all the channels, i am in London and they are running about 80% power on the digital, i get a v good picture and even on the move sometimes and that's with the original aerials so try before you buy digital aerials.
with regards to TV on the move for you passenger, this can be done with a lead or if you have access to someone who has navcoder its just a tick in the TV box and bingo done!
yawlboy you can fit screens in the back with the DVD and you will need the av interface lead with or with out reverse camera and can be bought from boys and there toys around £40 less if you find one on eBay. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.
