Hi, I've done a search and found conflicting info about how retro fit a reversing camera into a 2005 square headlight, touch screen model. Depending on what I've found, it can't be be done, it can be done but you need to configure the head unit to allow the aux input, it can be done and you don't need to do anything other than connect power to reverse light and connect the input to the head unit

sorry just read your post again, ok you have a 2005, no prob,,, but that camera on your link wont fit, thats designed to go in your number plate lights and it is not a straight fit...get a camera to fit under your spoiler, you need a ntsc camera, do you have a tv tuner... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Has no one fitted a reverse camera to a 2005 touch screen, square headlight range rover? Your help would be appreciated I don't want to buy incorrect parts |

i looked into it and found that the only way to get the screen to switch on when reverse gear was selected was to get an after market module which cost approx £400 or maybe get it switched on in the ccf . ... - .- -.

Thanks Stan, I'll guess I'll give it a miss then....£400 seems too much money just to have a reverse camera |

Interesting reading however still pretty expensive IMO, I guess the sensors will just have to suffice, thanks anyway |

I have not installed the camera, but I have a pre facelift touchscreen L322 and you can activate the camera mode using the IID tool.

That's better news, just need to find an auto spark who has the IID to turn the option on and find the camera, do you definitely need the rear spoiler with camera or can you retro fit any camera in? Perhaps in the rear bumper? |
