your problem could be due to corrosion on the spikes in the male connector. Or a spike may have broken off, as happened on my HSE. I bought an identical replacement second hand from the bay and it worked fine. Was about £100 or so.

Cheers the one in your gallery is different , the connections are all ok I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the amp itself as I had to solder bits of wire across breaks in the tracks on the circuit board after the earth fault caused bits to melt so se of the components are probably shot , just wondered if there was something else , been looking for a 2nd hand one but bmw made all sorts of variants in the same case , cheers anyway |
