Black lear power amp replacement

I have an 03 TD6 HSE it has the non screen type Mid and CD player with the black lear amp in the boot ,but I'm only getting sound through front right , rear left and the middle dash speaker, had to repair the amp myself after an earth fault caused a bit of damage to it ,been looking for a while for a replacement amp but only seen them from US sellers, what i want to know is there an aftermarket amp which is just plug in ,or a simple splice a plug job. If any one can point me in the right direction would be most appreciated.

your problem could be due to corrosion on the spikes in the male connector. Or a spike may have broken off, as happened on my HSE. I bought an identical replacement second hand from the bay and it worked fine. Was about £100 or so.

I would take the connector out and look at your male adn female bits for corrosion or breakage. I have a spare amp but Think it is the wrong model for your car (it was the wrong one for mine but only discovered that after it arrived adn the seller wouldn't take it back). look in my gallery for the amp.

Cheers the one in your gallery is different , the connections are all ok I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the amp itself as I had to solder bits of wire across breaks in the tracks on the circuit board after the earth fault caused bits to melt so se of the components are probably shot , just wondered if there was something else , been looking for a 2nd hand one but bmw made all sorts of variants in the same case , cheers anyway
