+1, after reading on here, I drilled a couple of discreetish holes, watched niagra falls for five minutes and not had any issues since. Use a small drill bit and you wont even see the hole, although working brilliantly to fix the problem, obviously a 13mm drill bit might not be discreet enough 2007 3.0L Diesel VW Touareg SE 2003 4.4 LPG, Vogue, Silver |

When I did mine I drilled two 3mm dia holes thro the bottom of the units, one in each corner, centred on the joint.

I also drilled from the underside, in the joint. I used a 0.2 mm (Dremel tool) and drilled three holes. They are totally invisible ----------
