Scotland 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Tonga Green

I did a similar thing but with a slight difference. I drilled a small invisible from the outside hole in mine which worked for a while in standard bulbed lights but not for long.

Then I took out the bulb holders and sat the lamps on the aga overnight suitably insulated from the direct heat. This made them visibly free of condensation. Then I replaced the bulbs and sealed the small holes I had made with superglue. The lights have remained condensation free ever since. At some point the bulb seals will allow some moist air in no doubt but I did this 6 months ago and it has worked til now.

I think if I have to do it again I might try to put some silica gel somewhere in the compartment which could be removed and dried out once a year or something.

i removed and warmed them in a cooling oven . within a week same issue..
TVRs used to have little garins of silica in the light clusters to prevent condensation ..that didnt work either.. 2011 4.4 TdV8 Nara Bronze

as far as i can see there 3 options to get rid of condensation,

1, buy new units
2, make sure there is an airflow in the unit by drilling small holes in the lens or larger ones in the back of the unit
3, vacuum all the air out of the unit and re-seal it. ... - .- -.

Try touching an LED after it's been on - I think you'll find you'll go OUCH! Land Rover Addict

Yes but doesnt radiate the heat enough so that it demists the lens unlike normal non led units were more heat is radiated. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I have drilled and it doesnt work on the led lights. I have used a vacum cleaner worked for a bit / I have removed and sealed around the gasket with vaseline ( old remedy apparently) and it doesnt work. It clears for a while but when damp it returns. Im sorry I changed mine now to leds . It looks bad on normal lights but on leds it looks nasty. Big Cry Present :2008 TDV8 HSE
