A dealer is currently replacing one of mine and said that the replacement will need spraying up in body colour. Is that correct, do replacement sensors need spraying? |

If you want them to match. Don't think you can get replacement sensors in "all" colours. If you need to know for sure check with Duckworths Dan. .

hi archie, no it is not really icy. infact very mild at around 16 degrees at the mo. i will listen at the front and see if i can hear anything clicking? with regard to switching them on, i assume i just turn on the ignition and put it in drive to test them would that work

Leave it in park. There is a button, bottom left, to switch on the park sensors. Previously..

When I lost the front sensors, it was the PDC ECU in the boot that needed to be replaced. |

ok mate, i did know about the button but just thought that used if you wanted to keep them on whilst driving . the rears are working no problem; so dont know if that rules out the ecu in the boot unless there are seperate ones for front and rear

On mine (2007MY) that will not activate the fronts, reverse has to be selected or switch pressed before system is switched on |

well when i get in mine, i normally just start it, and if i put it in reverse, it works straight away, and if i pull forward it also works straight away . i dont have to switch anything on for it to do this ; the light comes on on the switch without me having to press anything. i thought if you wanted to have them on whilst driving, you just needed to press the switch, and this would alert you when approching someone or something, and vice versa.?

yes, when i start, i jus put in reverse and on comes the light and the rears are working, when i pull forward, up until they stopped, the fronts came on without having to do anything else. when i start driving, after a short while the light goes off. i guess i will just do the checks as i expect it is either the sensors themselves or the rear ecu
