The problem with these switches is they are sitting where they can easily get loads of crap dropped into them |

Had the same Problem at a clients car, it was the steering lock in the steering column, build it out, and opended the box with the lock, the parts are not to buy, but I recon all parts, build in the column, and all is ok. Landrover itself wante to sell a new column, 4.000 Euro plus Fixing! A Picture Shows the parts.

@smutt, thank you very much for this article, but I know it, is no good solution, because you can drill to deep, or at a wrong Position, then the Solenoid ist defect. Better to build out and recon the Solenoid, mostly inside broken. Thegood RSW Storey has a good Picture from the lock, but has also no solution for it. So believe me, best way, build out and renew the Solenoid. Best rgs, Uli L405 SDV8 2017 + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021 |

After build out the whole column, I open the shape of the metallbox near the steering wheel, there are six Little black Splint, like screws, and after open, you will se the Solenoid, you can take him out easy. You have to Change or recon him, then all in the other way retour. Best rgs L405 SDV8 2017 + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021 |
