I suspect they will be fine holding the steps on.
The steps sort of hook on anyway so very unlikely to fall off.. |

Are you sure you stripped the bolt thread?
The nuts are captive nuts so more likely that the weld holding the nut in place broke and therefore the nut it just spinning on the bolt..

Yes with spigot rings..
I have 20" vogue se wheels on my p38 no probs.. With spigot rings and the correct nuts for the wheels.. Standard tyres on as well 255 50 r20.. |
