| Thanks for the replies, good to know so it's intermittent I've looked at the wires at the front, no breaks, drivers side is upgraded and other side looked fine but I removed and soldered in new wires ... |

Newbie question...would an Amber fault appear if I start the engine, shut it down and then start again say 5 minutes later? What I mean is does it appear each time I start the ignition or only aft ... |

Do I need to remove the fan to see the accessory belt and various drives? Is it a straightforward job? I want to spray water on various bits to see if I can identify the whirring noise.

| Thanks for that, it has the standard removable Westaflia towbar so should be OK. Didn't know that though - so the front one is OK but not the rear. Hmm. |

Sorry, poor photo. Yesterday i thought it was coming from the middle of the below pic (under the 90 degree flexible inlet hose), today I can't hear anything!

Got a whirring noise, present in Park or Drive. It's not there for the first 10 minutes from cold but gets progressively more noticeable as the engine reaches temperature. No dash warnings.
