| I had the exact same issue - I fould a panel pin that was a tight fit, tapped it in gently, cut & trimmed, job done. |

In the UK, we're not allowed chains and have to use a breakaway cable that applies the trailer handbrake instead.

I'd go a bit further than 5 yearly eyesight tests.
Once you get to 60 a full medical, then at 65, then 70 & then every year from then on (same as HGV/PCV drivers).
And yes, stricter MOT head ... |
