Don’t tint. Just get the shades from Vanstyle that are custom fit and just pop in. Had them in my TD6 and gives about the same look, but can move them in and out as needed.

I love the functionality of tinted windows in that they help keep the car cool on hot days, but prefer the clear look. Sadly tints have a certain association that means they are a ‘style’ issue rather than a point of pure functionality, especially with Range Rovers and pharmaceutical entrepreneurs.

I absolutely hate the clear glass look. I often see a new Range Rover a 2022 or 2023 and it has clear glass and I think, why did you spec the car like that. Every car I have has either factory Tint or I have had it done but if I'm doing it I usually go JDM spec. Dark enough to stay cool, have privacy of belonging etc but clear enough to see out. Range Rovers look better with tint in my opinion as the glass blends in with the b, c and d pillar to make a very good looking side profile. Current yokes

Hi, it does look a bit Gangsta on darker cars with tints on, like black, blue, green, but seems to suit the car more with lighter colours, asp white & silver, follows that "floating roof" theme.

… and what about the A-pillar? Or is VAT-dodge van the desired look? Can guarantee that the designers give the front windows some felt tip, too, in their sketches. |

Hi, you can tint the front ones, but that pesky law gets in the way here.

I like the look of tints but.....as has been mentioned by others - you can't legally dark tint the front ones in the UK.

My SC has tints, but they are blue so they look OK from the outside but chavvy from the inside so I was going to try a DIY removal and go clear but the better half has said no. She likes the privacy.

Hi, the giveway for what it's worth, are the heating elements / aerials. In the factory privacy glass they're hidden, but with the tints they're exposed. Fuji White / Jet 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster |
