Yea, it'll fit there but it's supposed to go in this side pocket. And my OCD* demands that's where I put it! |

When I try that the triangle is pressing against those wire bundles with a bit of pressure. These cars are famous enough for their electrical issues. |

You would think so, but that's not the case. With the top holder in the correct location those wires do interfere with the triangle.

Trying to fit a genuine triangle myself and having the exact same problem - was rerouting the cabling the answer/possible? Thanks in advance. |

My previous car, a 2005 TD6, had a slightly different top mounting bracket to the one in my current 2012 Westminster. The TD6 Bracket was all plastic and clipped flush around the triangle. The Westie definitely appears to have more cabling in that area, but the bracket is slightly angled and secures the triangle with a rubber strap which allows it to fit over the extra wiring behind. Maybe you need the later fitting bracket and strap too?

Thanks Rich, think you’ve nailed it. I’ll try to find the newer bracket, a picture would be incredibly helpful if you were able? |

I will do my best at the weekend when it’s light. Bear with me though as I’m not very savvy with technology and uploading a photo will be a new challenge! |

I think I remember having a similar problem when I added 1 to our car a few months after purchase.

Not really very helpful to the OP...... Many of us like things to be "correct" - I had the same issue and found that I just had to "tease" the wiring looms back a little with a couple of after market cable ties. |
