So, it’s been checked over, earths were all good (thanks for the heads up), put back together and is working.
The alternator is a genuine item and looks to be in near new condition.

Been looking at the park my auto guys and it does look pretty reasonable, especially after I sorted out a minor drama I had when the tv module died altogether. |
