| I bought a phone charger on a stalk from Halfords which allows you to play your iPhone, iPod through the radio on an FM frequency. The charger fits into the cigarette lighter and it works quite well. |

Well, the problem seems to have been sorted. I dug out the WD40 and gave the bonnet sensor a good spray and worked the switch up and down quite a few times.
