| Just to close this up. I disconnected the barrel for a while, then plugged it back in, and the unit started functioning fine again. |

Never did get to the bottom of this as it was an aftermarket tower with a rats nest of cabling  . Anyway, the car has been sold now |

| To close this off. This sprung back into life after unplugging the battery for a while and plugging in back in again. |
