Those symptoms especially if the headlight goes are normally attributed to earth point corroded or failed, I had exactly those symptoms a couple of years back.

In short no.

My understanding is that the BMW system assumes a wear %'tage given mileage and driving style so not actually that accurate but who knows, I might be wrong.
