| Yes I was also glad I ran a magnet along the air intake hoses and found the nut ! That would have been very upsetting otherwise 😂 |

For anyone considering this, I have just completed both sides. Replaced with a pair of new Borg and Beck turbos.
My L/H turbo had failed because the nut had sheared off the compressor blade !

| Hi Zeb, I am just in the same boat, you did well to get 171K ! mine is at 110k. I now have that big dilemma, Midland Tubos (recommended on here and by local machine shop) can refurb my turbos for £36 ... |

OK so I replaced the changeover valve (fiddly  ) and the problem persists !!! So got the battery and tray out and I believe that there is an airlock as the noise is coming from the coolant pipes ... |

Hoses are fine and MAP sensors as well. Seems to only happen once warmed up and you then park for a while then start up again and pull away. |

Hi Snowy, no with mine its just the "thrum" of the engine, No whistle as such. mine is on 85k.
Its probably something of nothing to be fair. after years of LR ownership i am highly tuned ... |
