Who's peed off with the cost of running their dream car

Is it only me or are there others out there getting cheesed off with the price of diesel and road tax

Ive been looking at other options for the daily commute and keep the FF for family outings

I'm not! Very Happy

Despite everything, it's running fine at the moment, I'm buying LPG at under 67 pence per litre, and I still love the car!

People pay up to £500/ day to rent these things (S/C's). I feel that the pleasure and value I get from my ownership is well worth the cost.

I think it's like life, don't ask for it to be easy, ask for it to be worth it! Whistle Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

I spent a lot last year when i bought my FFRR. It had been regularly serviced by LR but was suffering from suspension wear & tear and needed some TLC. Now that it has had the attention required I have to say that everything is spot on and my local LR parts department will be wondering if I have sold it.

I get pee-ed off with the crap that goes wrong with it when its such an expensive car.

Current mega-pee-off of the moment is the front drivers door handle no longer works from the outside ... the cables arrived this morning, and if its just the cable is nota bad fix to do... but it shouldn't have broken in the first place. Its the only car I've ever known to break a cable like that.

then, in the cold, the fecking front doors wont close once its opened sometimes. Dunno what seizes in them, the latch wont re-latch until I warm it up somehow. Come on Evil or Very Mad its a 60k car and the doors dont work!!!!

Just daft costs like that is what pees me off. V8 or else ...

not wanting to sound negative Fisha, but yours is a 2003 vehicle getting on for 9 years old and mechanics do wear out. Yes they do have faults, expensive faults but no vehicle is perfect Thumbs Up

I should've touched wood when I wrote this!

Just went out and found I was running on a rim rather than tyre on the rear n/s. Pretty sure I knackered the tyre! Times like this I wish I had a spare (left it at my indy due to LPG conversion taking up the spare wheel well!). Also been meaning to buy some tyre weld!

Hence waiting for the AA, fortunately I was only a few minutes walk from home, so waiting in the warm. Still not peed off with the car though, things go wrong with any car, and it's still worth it! Wink

Edit:Probably get shot by Scarey now for abuse of the quote button too! Embarassed Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Looks like I'm in for a new tyre! AA just came and left without being able to get enough air in the tyre to get it 1/4 mile home! They tried their 'green slime', but it seems like there's a split on the inside edge of the tyre. Bl***y potholes. Still serves me right for taking the little lanes round our way instead of the slightly more made up roads!

So fun and games tomorrow collecting and fitting my spare, and then sourcing a new tyre! All part of the pain and pleasure of FFRR ownership! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!
